Localization C*-algebras and index pairing

Abstract:

The index pairing between K-theory and K-homology has many applications in index theory and operator theory. Kasparov’s K-homology of a separable C*-algebra can be formulated in terms of the K-theory of Yu’s localization algebra. We investigate parings between K-theory and two notions of K-homology and show that the two pairings are compatible. This is a joint work with Hang Wang and Chaohua Zhang.
