报告摘要:
In this talk, we will first introduce the international mathematical center in Sobolev Institute of Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences. Then, I will present the research group of inverse problems in Siberia. We will also discuss some results of machine learning for solving ill-posed problems.

报告人简介:
Sergey Kabanihin - director of the International Mathematical Center of the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics, Novosibirsk, Russia. Sergey Kabanikhin is working in the field of ill-posed and inverse problems of electrodynamics, acoustics, epidemiology, including construction and justification of new methods for regularizing inverse and ill-posed problems. The substantiation result in numerical analysis of inverse problems for hyperbolic equations and systems was first carried out in the works of Sergey Kabanikhin, including the uniqueness of the stationary point of the objective functional, well-posednes in the neighbourhood of the exact soliution, conditional stability and convergence rate of the descrete approximations. Sergey Kabanikhin introduced multidimensional analogues of Gelfand-Levitan and Krein equations for the inverse problem of reconstructing the density and velocity of the medium in the acoustic equation, which is of great importance for the interpretation of areal observation systems. He is the author of 22 monographs, four of which were published abroad, and more than 200 scientific papers in leading scientific journals.
For more than 30 years S.I. Kabanikhin teaches at Novosibirsk State University, lectures on theory and numerical methods for solving ill-posed and inverse problems. Since 2015, he has been the head of the Department of Mathematical Methods of Geophysics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University.
